Monday:
Morning sessions: Opening and introductory session
Afternoon sessions: Wavelet bases on real line and unit interval, discrete 1D wavelet transform (periodic and non-periodic), plotting, organization/visualization of coefficients

Tuesday:
1st Morning session: Discretization and sampling
2nd Morning session: Decomposition and reconstruction
Afternoon sessions: Discrete 2D wavelet transform (isotropic tensor product), applications in signal and image processing (compression, denoising etc.)

Wednesday:
1st Morning session: Spline-type systems
2nd Morning session: Multi-window spline-type spaces
Afternoon session: Applications in numerical analysis I (nonadaptive discretization of operator equations)
Excursion: Guided tour through Marburgs Castle and Old Town

Thursday:
1st Morning session: Gabor analysis in the discrete setting
2nd Morning session: Gabor multipliers
Afternoon sessions: Applications in numerical analysis II (adaptive discretization of operator equations)

Friday:
