A dynamical formulation of coupled cluster theory is presented reminiscent of the multiconfiguration time-dependent Hartree-Fock method (MCTDHF). By truncation at $K$-fold excitations a hierarchy of approximations is obtained, starting with the usual time-dependent Hartree--Fock method. The complexity scales similarly to standard coupled cluster theory, i.e., polynomially, compared to combinatorially for the MCTDHF method. |
